Recovery Community

Research shows that bonding is one of the most important protective factors for maintaining recovery (Fisher & Harrison, 2009) and that a support system is critical in promoting resiliency (Levy, 2008). Thus, NRAP promotes recovery by providing social support through peer-to-peer services and activities, academic support and professional development through advisement, on-going seminars, leadership training, and a scholarly program of study. Finally, it enhances the students’ college experiences by increasing their engagement on campus and providing activities that support their positive lifestyle choices.
