I was looking for a meeting on campus and was directed to Raggio 1001. What I found was much more than a meeting, I found my home. I found an environment that would shape me and form me into the person I always wanted to be. I have met friends and mentors that I will […]
NRAP has given me a safe place to go where I do not feel pressured or judged for being sober. The people in NRAP really care for each other and provide a wonderful community support that cannot be found anywhere else at UNR. Being a part of NRAP is a life-changing experience!
When I first came to NRAP at the beginning of the Fall 2012 semester, I was out of touch socially and had no community to which I felt that I belonged. After spending the semester going to groups and becoming involved in the NRAP program, I have become immersed in the sober community within its […]
NRAP provides me a healthy and safe place to go. I always come in in-between class and work on homework just to hang out. However, even if I am only doing homework the environment is still encouraging to sobriety. Going to NRAP is much better than going to the library because everyone here is my […]
When I first heard about NRAP, I was ecstatic to meet other students like me who were in or seeking recovery from alcoholism and addiction. If I didn’t have a community of some sort that connected me with other people in similar situations, I would have either drank in an attempt to “fit into” the […]
NRAP has provided me with a place to belong to at UNR. As a non-traditional student i spent my first years of college going to class and leaving directly after without making any meaningful connections. NRAP has given me a place to relax after class and socialize with other students without pressures of partying. It’s […]
Even if I’m rushing across campus, it’s great to be able to peek in, say hi, and get centered with a hug from NRAP peeps. Coming back to college AND being in recovery was so scary this semester… not anymore- thanks for the love and support!
NRAP provides an environment of nurturing support and peer connections for students recovering from substance and behavioral addictions and students choosing a substance-free lifestyle.
Business hours are 9-5 Monday through Friday.
Meetings begin the second week of the semester and continue up to the week of finals. Keep an eye on the calendar as we will update it often with exciting events and meeting times.
